Comments:Pinyon-juniper woodlands are better considered a collection of series. A problem arises in separation of stands belonging to the Utah juniper series from others where the species is only important or incidental. Pine and juniper share importance in the ingleleaf pinyon-Utah juniper series, and Utah juniper is incidental in the Singleleaf pinyon series.
