Comments:This series is often considered part of the chenopod or saltbush scrub. These scrubs are better thought of as a collection of series. In the Mixed saltbush series no saltbush dominates [ see Allscale series, Desert-holly series, Fourwing saltbush series, Shadscale series, Spinescale series].
Plot based descriptions:Yoder et al. (1983) defines one association in Alabama Hills in Inyo Co. TraSN; McHargue (1973) one association in Coachella Valley in Riverside Co. ColD.
