Comments:Mexican elderberry is common in many series, often as an emergent tree over coastal scrub, chaparral, or as an understory shrub in forests. This series includes only those stands with large populations of elderberry. NDDB has qualitative descriptions for four occurrences in Sacramento and San Joaquin Cos. CenV.
