Comments:This description follows Johnson (1994). Developed stands are nearly forb-free with continuous sod. Deteriorated stands have bare ground, hummocks of grass among many forbs and erosion pavement. This series may make a mosaic with stands of lodgepole pin or whitebark pine [ see Lodgepole pine series, Whitebark pine series].
