Comments:This series has been described as cactus scrub or mixed scrub. Some scrub stands are dominated by brittlebush, others by white bursage, and others are mixed. The mixed stands are placed in this series. Cactus composition varies among stands as well. Ocotillo may be present, but not conspicuously [ see Brittlebush series, Creosote bush series, Teddy-bear cholla series, Ocotillo series].
