Comments:These trees form mixed or single species stands in ColD washes. The pure species stands of blue palo verde, desert-willow, ironwood, or smoke tree are included in this series at this time. Some extensive e. ColD washes are dominated by ironwood; w. ColD stands are dominated by smoke tree. This series is similar in habitat to Catclaw acacia series which occurs at MojD elevations. Stands are transitional in character at intermediate elevations.
